In 2008, posted a 12-24 record, finishing 6-4 in the SUNYAC regular season. The Knights were third in the SUNYAC West division, falling to Cortland in the first round of the conference tournament. After a 1-10 start, the Knights rebounded to go 11-14 in their last 25 matches, which bodes well for Salmon’s rebuilding process. Junior setter Maddy Maler earned first team All-SUNYAC West recognition after leading the team with 688 assists in 31 matches and finishing second in service aces with 37. Junior Jess McKenna and sophomore Krista Frieling garnered second team All-SUNYAC West. McKenna led the team in digs with 591 and service aces with 45 in her 35 matches, while Frieling posted a team-high 265 kills with a .251 hitting percentage and 48 blocks. First year Kat Strickland led the team in blocks with 147 and had 181 kills, junior Jessie Stephenson was second on the team in kills (218) and digs (384) and senior Michele Guido added 199 kills and 65 blocks. Senior Ashley Saltzman finished second on the Geneseo career assist list with 2,552 after handing out 364 this season, while junior Laura Lobaugh totalled 329 digs. | Statistics Archive
