Women's Field Hockey
The SUNY Geneseo women's field hockey team has been an intercollegiate sport since the fall of 1997. Head coach Jessica Seren is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Cortland and has a record of 9-8 after one season. The program was started by Andrea Zurlo and has compiled a record of 86-93 in its 12 seasons.
In 2008, Geneseo compiled a record of 9-8, finishing second in the SUNYAC with a 5-1 mark. Sophomore forward Michelle Milkovich earned first team North Atlantic region from the NFHCA and first team All-SUNYAC after scoring seven goals and a school-record ten assists for 24 points. First team All-SUNYAC sophomore forward Stephanie Maisonet led the team in scoring by setting school records with 28 points and 13 goals. Junior midfielder Libby Leroy and sophomore defender Rianna Travers joined the pair on the All-SUNYAC first team. Senior Sarah Doster, who scored 18 points and matched Milkovich with the school-record 10 assists, and first year defender Katie Carrick earned second team All-SUNYAC. Senior Stephanie Honsinger scored six goals and one assist for 13 points, sophomore Erin Zalewski added nine points on three goals and three assists and first year Abby Sayler totalled eight points on three goals and two helpers. Junior Emily O’Leary played 1067 of 1252 minutes in goal, posting a goals against average of 2.43 with one shutout. | Statistics Archive
